Dominicana Caribbean Shipyards (ex. Ciramar)

DOMINICANA CARIBBEAN SHIPYARDS (ex. CIRAMAR), is situated in the Dominican Republic, about one hour away from Santo Domingo. It is a fully operational shipyard able to provide to the customers of the region all services required for the drydocking and repairs of their vessels according to the requirements of the classification societies.

DOMINICANA CARIBBEAN SHIPYARDS Ship repair division has more than 30 years of experience, although the shipyard has started its operations 50 years before in the field of various marine constructions, and throughout this time it has managed to gather a well trained and professional staff to handle almost any type of work, to help its clients get back to business in no time.

Afloat Repairs: For any repairs to be performed afloat they have the necessary space to carry them on and have all the equipment and machinery to perform them.

FACILITIES





The Sincrolift System: A sincrolift system with a lifting capacity of 300 tons, for vessels under 90ft. in length is available for small ships such as tugs, fishing vessels and pleasure crafts.

Engineering & Design:

The Department of Engineering & Design of DOMINICANA CARIBBEAN SHIPYARDS offers services in naval architecture with detailed designs. Their designs are innovative and meet the requirements and specifications of customers and international classification societies, offering security, quality and efficiency.

The Department of Engineering & Design is led by a highly qualified staff ready to receive any requirement; it is supported by the computer art and the 3D design as needed.

Workshops:The shipyard’s facility has a Machining shop, electrical, diesel, welding, pipe, electronics and mechanical shops.

Cranes and Forklifts:There is a 45 ton capacity floating crane, 8 ton floating crane barge, two hydraulic cranes and two forklifts to handle all weights around the yard.

New Construction:

A new construction shed with two 10 ton overhead cranes was completed in May 2003 and new vessels are built inside in alliance with Damen Shipyards.
